On Monday the Tampa Bay Buccaneers placed No. 2 wide receiver Mike Williams on injured reserve with a torn hamstring. I joined Charlie Bernstein on Sports Talk 1040 in Tampa Bay to talk about the impact of losing Williams.
It’s no secret that Williams was suffering from a hamstring injury for over a month. Whose decision was it for Williams to continue playing through pain? Who will step up to fill the void?
Charlie and I talked about how, at 0-7, the Bucs’ 2013 season has officially shifted into evaluation mode, and how Mike Glennon has progressed since being named the starter.
We also recapped the Bucs’ 31-13 loss to the Carolina Panthers, including what went wrong and some coaching calls that I had an issue with. Charlie didn’t have too much of an issue with coaching decision, but his major issue has been how ill-prepared the team has looked week after week.
