This morning I joined Eric Lopez on Sports Talk 1040 (Tampa Bay) and 1080 (Orlando) to recap the Bucs’ 41-28 win over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.
If you can tolerate a bit of a coughing spell (yes, I’m still under the weather), you’ll hear us discuss a number of topics, including Dashon Goldson’s suspension for a helmet-to-helmet hit on Falcons wide receiver Roddy White.
We discussed Goldson’s efforts to change his style of play, what the chances are that he can successfully contest this appeal and how the loss of Goldson affects the Bucs heading into this week’s matchup against the Detroit Lions.
We talked about the emergence of running back Bobby Rainey, a relative unknown, what’s been the key factor that’s helped Tampa Bay absorb the loss of Doug Martin and then Mike James and why Rainey has actually put up better numbers than both.
We also talked about the status of head coach Greg Schiano and if the team’s two-straight wins have helped him save his job.
You can listen here (and I do apologize for the coughing):
