This morning I joined Eric Lopez on Sports Talk 1040 and 1080 to talk about the latest with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and to preview this weekend’s Bucs-Falcons game.
First we talked about the latest on the Bucs injury front, with details about left guard Carl Nicks’ surgery earlier this week, which took place in Charlotte, and running back/kick returner Jeff Demps’ groin surgery.
We also discussed Mike Williams’ hamstring injury and if he will be a go against the Falcons.
We talked about the emergence of tight end Tim Wright and his role in the Bucs’ offense, detailing his move from wide receiver to tight end and why he’s had such success with rookie quarterback Mike Glennon.
We talked about the Falcons’ injury situation with Julio Jones out, plus injuries to Steven Jackson and Roddy White which may mean they won’t play either, giving the Bucs a huge opportunity to get a first win for the season.
Of course, the defense can’t do it alone, and if the Bucs offense can’t put points on the board, those efforts will be in vain.
