Last night, on the eve of the NFL Draft, a rumor began circulating around the Bucs that involves DT Aaron Donald. Some mock drafts have predicted Donald to be strongly considered by the Buccaneers since they are lacking at the position.
Well, that rumor was squashed by our very own Jenna Laine.
Was told by a trusted source within the Bucs organization that Aaron Donald wasn’t in play at No. 7, for what that’s worth.

This rumor most likely has some truth to it, but to some, it might not make much sense. Donald is a solid fit for Lovie Smith’s coveted defense. It really seems that Donald and the Bucs would be a great fit for each other.
However, if the Bucs really aren’t interested in Donald, it makes sense because they already have a defenive star in Gerald McCoy. It seems like taking Donald would almost be a waste of a No. 7 pick.
