Bryant said Johnson is “the best at what he does,” during a radio interview on KESN-FM on Monday, but believes he can match Megatron, skill for skill and play for play.
“I believe I can do whatever he can do,” Bryant said per ESPN Dallas. “I think it’s just a pride thing. When it comes to football, just being on the field, it’s a mindset and having a mentality. I honestly believe when I’m there, I’ll be feeling like there’s nothing I can’t do. Whatever the coaches ask me to do, I’m going to do it.”
Through 50 games of their careers, Bryant has more receptions (242 to 217) and yards (3,440 to 3,362) than Johnson. Of course, it was almost exactly after those first 50 games that Johnson transformed into Megatron and became the best wide receiver in the NFL.
