This morning I joined Ryan Bass, who was filling in for David Baumann on Sports Talk 1040 and 1080, to talk about Tampa Bay Buccaneers training camp, which is just days away.
Bass and I talked about rookie cornerback Johnthan Banks and if he’s capable of starting opposite Darrelle Revis.
I talked about who Banks is, on and off the field, and why fans should feel better about trusting him as a starter, versus Eric Wright. Fans will be happy know that Banks’ character grades off the charts in my book.
We also talked about rookie quarterback Mike Glennon and where he was in terms of grasping Mike Sullivan’s playbook the last time I saw him and where he is now.
I gave listeners some background on Glennon and why he could be a quick study for this Buccaneer offense, although it is Josh Freeman who will be running it.
We also talked about Darrelle Revis’ knee rehab, how he’s progressing, and what his workload could be like, come training camp.
