The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have waived defensive end Aaron Morgan and signed wide receiver Jordan Norwood, the team announced Wednesday afternoon.
The Bucs picked Morgan up off waivers from Jacksonville last season and thought that they had found some answers for an ailing pass rush, particularly with his unusual quickness coming off the ball.
Morgan saw action in seven games last year and recorded 2 tackles. He suffered a stinger earlier in training camp this year, however, and did not participate in any preseason games.
Norwood was among the Cleveland Browns’ initial roster cuts, where he spent the last two seasons. During that time period, he recorded 36 receptions for 405 yards and one touchdown.
He entered the league as an undrafted free agent after playing collegiately at Penn State.
