Bucs to Announce Derrick Brooks as Member of Ring of Honor

NFL: Super Bowl XLVIII-Hall of Fame Class Announcement
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a busy week ahead. Aside from draft planning, the team will announce who will be joining their Ring of Honor. We have not officially confirmed with the team, but it’s pretty safe to say that Derrick Brooks will be honored by the team.

Brooks is a retired linebacker and he will be inducted into the Hall of Fame in August. Brooks is very involved in the Tampa Bay area and he will be announcing the Bucs’ second-round draft pick in New York this Friday.

The Bucs will announce who will be named to their Ring of Honor Tuesday and the person selected joins Warren Sapp, who became the first and only first-ballot Pro Football Hall of Fame selection in franchise history for the Buccaneers.

It’s pretty obvious that with his past and recent accomplishments, Derrick Brooks will be honored this year.
