Bucs Sign DT Akeem Spence

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers continued a three-day streak by signing another draft pick, inking fourth-round draft pick Akeem Spence to a four-year deal today.

Spence, a 6-foot-1, 306-pound defensive tackle out of Illinois, could challenge veteran Derek Landri, who signed with the team this offseason, for the starting nose tackle position.

The Bucs have signed a total of four draft picks in the last three days, starting with former Miami running back Mike James and Buffalo defensive end Stephen Means on Monday.

Yesterday the team signed William Gholston, a defensive end out of Michigan State.

Quarterback Mike Glennon, a third-round pick, and cornerback Johnthan Banks, a second-round pick, are the two remaining players that have yet to sign.
