Bucs Sign CB Marc Anthony to Practice Squad

Cal CB Marc AnthonyThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers solidified their eight-man practice squad this morning by signing rookie cornerback Marc Anthony.

A seventh-round draft by the Ravens, Anthony, saw action in 41 games for Cal, including 32 starts.He recorded 138 career tackles, five interceptions, and 26 pass breakups. He also contributed 13 tackles for a loss and two forced fumbles.

At 5-11, 196 he’s got the size and length the Bucs covet in cornerbacks, although his speed isn’t particularly impressive at 4.63.

An interesting fact, courtesy of the Baltimore Sun — Anthony was the first draft pick the Ravens cut after his first training camp with the team since 2009.
