Bucs Prank Callers Face Federal Charges

The two young men responsible for prank-calling, recording, and distributing what was to be a private phone conversation between Bucs general manager Mark Dominik and then-Bills GM Buddy Nix are facing federal charges.

According to the Associated Press, Joshua Barber and Nicholas Kaiser, both 20, are the two men responsible for prank-calling the offices of both teams and posing as GMs.

Utilizing conference-call, the two were able to listen in on and record a six-minute conversation that included confidential team matters pertaining to the NFL Draft, free agency, and possible trades.

The pair then sold the audio to the website, Deadspin, who published the story.

If convicted, the two could face five years in prison. They are due in court in Buffalo on June 4.
