Bucs-Dolphins Breakdown and Expectations for Josh Freeman

On Friday, I joined Charlie Bernstein on Sports Talk 1040 to talk Bucs-Jaguars and what the Bucs need to show to appease fans’ concerns after a disappointing outing in New England.

We talked about the struggles of the offensive line, the battles for the starting SAM linebacker and tight end positions, the need to see more out of the pass rush, and how Josh Freeman will see his most extensive playing time.

We further discussed what it’s going to take to see the Josh Freeman of 2010 — mobility and allowing Freeman to make plays on his own. Freeman’s best natural attribute is his ability to scramble and keep plays alive — not staying in the pocket as a dropback passer.
