According to NBC Bay Area, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced in a press release it has referred the Aldon Smith case to the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office for misdemeanor consideration.
Smith was originally arrested on April 13th for a felony charge of “false report of a bomb threat,” according to Los Angeles International Airport Police. He was released later that day on $20,000 bail.
As reported by NBC Bay Area, Smith was going through screening, LAX Sgt. Karla Ortiz said, when he asked the TSA agent, “Are you going to search me further?”
The TSA agent said, “That’s not necessary” and Smith responded, “Why not? I have a bomb.”
Smart move, Smith.
