Keenan Allen’s Knee Forces Him To Sit Out

The San Diego Chargers feel like they caught a break when wide receiver Malcolm Floyd was diagnosed with a knee sprain rather than a torn ACL, but their level of concern about the position may still be pretty high.

Third-round pick Keenan Allen was left Tuesday’s practice after individual drills to get treatment on the knee that helped make him available in the third round in the first place. Allen tore the PCL in his left knee during his final year at Cal and it helped him slide down the draft board because the injury hampered his ability to make a good impression in pre-draft workouts.
