After his fourth carry of the game, Jaguars standout running back Maurice Jones-Drew had minus-5 yards rushing.
Things didn’t get much better for the three-time Pro Bowl back as the Jaguars’ 45-17 loss Sunday at CenturyLink Field progressed.
Jones-Drew was questionable to play after sustaining an ankle injury during the second quarter of last week’s 19-9 loss at Oakland. He was able to start, but once again found little room to work.
“A lot of the swelling went away,” Jones-Drew said. “This morning, I felt fine out there cutting, so I went out there and played.”
