The much-anticipated Alabama-Texas A&M game certainly lived up to the hype, and there were some big-time Fantasy performances in a game some felt might be a little lower scoring than it was. Instead, there were video game-like numbers, including those from defending Heisman Trophy winner QBJohnny Manziel and his top WR Mike Evans.

Some top signal callers are off in the upcoming week, including Oregon’s Marcus Mariota. If you need to hit the waiver wire, Wyoming QB Brett Smith might be worth a look if he is available. LSU QB Zach Mettenberger has tossed nine touchdowns with no interceptions so far, and he is another player who still likely can be had off the waiver wire.

It was an ugly scene in Salt Lake City last Saturday night, as Oregon State RB Storm Woods (concussion) was taken off the field on a stretcher and loaded into an ambulance after suffering a head injury while blocking. The good news is that he ‘just’ suffered a concussion, but the bad news is that he is out indefinitely. It certainly looked like it could be worse, so that’s great news he didn’t suffer some sort of spinal cord injury.

Taylor Kelly, Arizona State vs Wisconsin 29-51-352-0-1 11-24-0 at Stanford
If your Fantasy provider includes non-AQ teams, Marshall’s Rakeem Cato is worth a look this weekend in Blacksburg. It will be interesting to see what he and TE Gator Hoskins can do on a bigger stage. … Freshman Ford Childress burst onto the scene, giving the Mountaineers a jolt last week.

Bishop Sankey, Washington at Illinois 35-208-1 3-63-1 vs Idaho State
Melvin Gordon, Wisconsin at Arizona State 15-193-2 0-0-0 vs Purdue
Paul James, Rutgers vs Eastern Michigan 21-192-3 1-30-0 vs Arkansas

Treyvon Green, Northwestern vs Western Michigan 20-158-2 0-0-0 vs Maine
Charles Ross, Rice vs Kansas 27-157-1 2-(-1)-0 vs Houston
Fantasy owners have been getting steady production from Sankey, Gordon, James and Hall this season. Sankey and Hall should be particularly attractive again in Week 4 since they’ll be facing FCS opponents. Treyvon Green has also emerged as a must-start, and he too faces an FCS foe.

Mike Evans, Texas A&M vs Alabama 7-279-1 0-0-0 vs Southern Methodist
Brandin Cooks, Oregon State at Utah 9-210-3 2-(-2)-0 at San Diego State
Shakim Phillips, Connecticut vs Maryland 10-178-1 0-0-0 vs Maryland

Quenton Bundrage, Iowa State vs Iowa 7-146-3 0-0-0 BYE
Allen Robinson, Penn State vs UCF 9-143-1 6-35-0 vs Kent State
The top wideouts in College Fantasy Football each face very favorable matchups against weak opponents. There should be plenty of options to eclipse the 200-yard mark in Week 4. … Oregon State’s Cooks exploded in an OT win at Utah, and he’ll come up big against a poor Aztecs squad.
