DeSean Jackson Says He’ll Be Eagles’ De’Anthony Thomas

Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson says that he’s 98 percent recovered from the rib injury that brought his 2012 season to a premature end and he sounds excited about getting to work with new coach Chip Kelly.

That’s no surprise given Kelly’s reputation as an offensive innovator. Jackson said he has spoken to Kelly about his role in the offense and Kelly told him that he plans to use Jackson in a similar way that he used one of his most versatile stars at the University of Oregon.

“Kind of similar to what De’Anthony Thomas was doing at Oregon.”
