The Ravens have announced that tight end Dennis Pitta will return to practice on Wednesday, opening a three-week window for the team to evaluate his condition and decide if he’ll be activated from injured reserve.
“It feels awesome to be able to get back and be in meetings with the guys and be able to hit the field a little bit,” Pitta said, via the team’s website. “I feel great. I’m going to take it slow though and make sure I can integrate myself back in, and I’m feeling good.”
The prospect of putting Pitta back into the passing game for the Ravens has to be an appealing one as the team tries to get themselves into playoff position in the season’s final weeks.
