Steelers_Chris_Rainey_2013According to Adam Caplan of ESPN, the Indianapolis Colts have singed RB Chris Rainey.

Rainey, out of Florida, was drafted in the fifth round of the 2012 draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers and played all 16 games last year. He averaged 2.9 yards per carry on 26 rushes for 102 yards while scoring two touchdowns. He averaged 4.3 yards per catch on 14 pass attempts.

Stephen Holder says his signing may have to do with the kick/punt return game. Rainey did in fact round up 1,035 yards on kickoff returns, with a career long of a 68 yard return.

Rainey tweeted about getting signed.
