Colt McCoy To Have MRI On Neck/Shoulder

Colt McCoy will have an MRI after leaving the San Francisco 49ers’ preseason opener against the Denver Broncos late in the first half.

According to Matt Maiocco of, McCoy described the injury as a stinger in his right neck and shoulder. He sustained the injury when rushing for a 1-yard loss late in the second quarter. He remained in the game for three more plays before being intercepted by Mike Adams on a pass intended for A.J. Jenkins.
