Ex-Baylor star signed as reserve
After working out for the Texans, inside linebacker Elliot Coffey signed to replace inside linebacker Evan Frierson (groin), who was put on injured reserve.
Coffey (6-0, 234) is a Sugar Land native who played at Clements High School before starring at Baylor. After being undrafted last year, he signed with Denver.
Coffey’s father, Ken, played defensive back for Washington from 1983-86.
