NFL Network Crew Weigh In On Bucs Schiano
As one might expect the conversation on NFL Network pre and postgame shows from Raymond James Stadium centered around the future of Bucs head coach Greg Schiano The lost to the Panther 31-13 and the team effort came into question.
Here are a few observations from the NFL Network team of analysts including three former Bucs Warren Sapp, Derick Brooks and Simeon Rice.
"Right now its a lot of confusion and the worst thing that guys can start to do is question the leadership. Thats not going to get this thing turned around; if anything, they have to buy more into each other, buy more into what they have to do and produce a win. Derrick Brooks talking about his old team
I see guys that arent being accountable you have guys that have left that werent accountable. Its about how can I be better, and then that affects the whole thing. Simeon Rice on the 0-7 Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Darrelle Revis is the best man-to-man cover corner in the NFL. If youre going to give him that type of check, you have to put him out on the island. Warren Sapp on Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Darrelle Revis
Sterling Sharpe also wanted his views on the record:
Sharpe said" The Bucs dont have much continuity and balance on the offensive side of the ball. The defense is good but the offense has to score more points for them to be successful. With 2 last second losses in 2 games this season, the Bucs have seen a lot of criticism and blame come down on coaches and players alike. Sharpe said in the end, its Greg Schianos fault. Hes a good coach but hes not pushing the right buttons in the last few minutes of thegame.
