We all know the list of quarterbacks in the 2014 draft, by memory. But let’s shift gears and focus the lens on this year’s class of wide receivers.
There are 19 early draftees this year and most of these underclassmen are projected first-round picks. The list includes Sammy Watkins, Mike Evans, Marqise Lee, Odell Beckham, and Brandin Cooks.
These players easily make up the draft picks in the top three rounds. Because there is so much depth in this position, there are potential first-rounders who could get pushed back to Day 2.
Here are players who are projected to be selected as high as Round 2:
Even though the wide receivers are mainly highlighted by underclassmen, the senior class is also quite solid. Jordan Matthews of Vanderbilt may be one of the only potential first round picks, but here are others that are pretty valuable selections.
It’s pretty obvious that there is plenty of quality talent in the wide receiver class this year. It is because of this that the competition is more cutthroat and NFL teams will have more to choose from.
