Auburn left tackle Greg Robinson is ranked 9th overall in the 2014 draft. He is projected to be selected in the 1st round and mock drafts have him going to teams like the Falcons and the Rams.

Robinson posted on Twitter that his teammates and his coach, Gus Malzahn, both had a lot to do with his successes this season.

The 6-foot-5, 320-pound athlete is a third-year sophomore who started every game for the Tigers, who lost to Florida State Monday night in the BCS Championship Game.

Robinson was a first-team Associated Press All-SEC player who helped block for 1,000-yard rushers Tre Mason and Nick Marshall. As a guard, he has an extraordinary combination of power, size, and body control. His frame is built for playing offensive line in the NFL.

He has only played for two years in college so critics are questioning his ability to pass block. He’s being compared to Anthony Davis of the 49ers who is built similarly and has a dominating presence in the NFL.

Before committing to play for Auburn, Robinson was the No. 2-rated guard prospect in the nation and the No. 4 recruit in Louisiana, according to Rivals.com.
