NFL Draft: Best Fits for Top QB
The day that NFL teams and college football players wait for each Spring is still a few months away. But that is not stopping us from predicting who will go where and when they will go.
Some scouts predict that the top QB picks could be a toss up between Johnny Manziel, Blake Bortles, and Teddy Bridgewater. Each of these players has an insane amount of talent but each also has their own set of weaknesses.
Here’s a look at a few teams with top-10 picks who could be on the lookout for a new QB.
No. 1 Pick: Houston Texans
Scouts say that Bortles is a decent fit for the Texans, who have talent on both sides of the ball. The UCF grad boasts poise and great instincts for a quarterback with a strong arm.
The Texans would benefit from a player like Bortles who brought his Knights to a victory in the Fiesta Bowl.
No. 3 Pick: Jacksonville Jaguars
The best fit here seems to be Johnny football because of his mobility and his ability to think fast. The Jaguars lack agility on the ground and his toughness is a key factor in the QB spot for this team.
No. 4 Pick: Cleveland Browns
Teddy Bridgewater’s accurate timing and athletic build can make him a strong fit for the Browns. However, sources say that Cleveland seems to be crushing hard on Manziel.
This rumor does make sense since the team has undergone some organizational issues and getting Manziel would seemingly silence critics.
