The Orlando Magic’s 113-103 victory against the Milwaukee Bucks was a special win for Tobias Harris.
Harris was part of a six-player trade, which included JJ Redick, Gustavo Ayon and Ish Smith for the Bucks’ Tobias Harris, Beno Udrih and Doron Lamb. Since arriving in Orlando on Feb. 21st Harris become one of the Magic’s key player.
Harris has great night as he contributed 30 points and pulled down a career high of 19 rebounds.
The Magic stuck together as a team and fought hard at the end of the game to stay in it and eventually came up with the win.
With less than two-seconds left in game Harris made a 26 foot jump shot which tied the game 95-95. Harris was fouled on the play but he went on to miss the free throw and forced the game into overtime. Orlando took advantage of their opportunity and outscored the Bucks 18-8 in overtime.
In the last play of game, Harris went coast-to-coast and made a huge dunk to seal the deal. After the game, Harris said he did not mean any by duking, he just wanted to make sure his team was walking away with the victory.
One of the recurring theme of the Magic is that they haven’t been able to close out games. The team was very much in agreement over the satisfaction of overcoming a deficit, getting into overtime and walking away with the win.
The Magic currently have a record of 20-59, which isn’t great. But the individual performances of the young players is a step in the right direction and that is what the team is looking for.
