Magic’s Nikola Vucevic Struggles Against Spurs

Nikola_Vucevic_1Orlando Magic’s center Nikola Vucevic had a rough night against Tim Duncan and the San Antonio Spurs Friday night.

Vucevic who has been a double-double machine for head coach Jacque Vaughn since last season struggled to score four points in the first half. During halftime, he was encouraged by some of his teammates and in the second half he scored eight points. He finished the night with 12 points, seven rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal. He also had a team high of eight turnovers.

Despite his performance Vucevic was positive after the game, “Tonight I didn’t do a good job but it’s the NBA and we have another game in two days.”

After the 109-91 loss, the Magic move to 6-10 and the Spurs improve to 14-2. The Magic will depart on Sunday for a six game road trip, which will include Washington, Philadelphia, New York, Houston, Memphis and Charlotte.
