The Orlando summer league kicks off today, and there is a lot of optimism with the Magic’s team. I’ll be taking a look at the invitees, the roster is subject to change.
With the waiving of Jameer Nelson, Doron Lamb, Ronnie Price and the team withdrawing their qualifying offer to E’Twaun Moore, the Orlando Magic are in need of depth at the guard position. That is where Curry comes into play. The younger brother of Stephen Curry and son of former NBA star Dell Curry is looking to make a lasting impression on the Magic.
Curry played last season with the Santa Cruz Warriors in the D-League, averaging 24.6 points and 4.9 assists per contest while shooting 40% from beyond the arc. The Magic will have an entire week to critique the 24-year-old former Duke Blue Devil and see if he can contribute to their already young roster this season.
