Defensively, the Pacers are a very tough team and they did not disappoint Tuesday night. They finished the night with 18 blocked shots and four steals. Roy Hibbert pulled down a team best of 16 rebounds but left the game late in the fourth quarter after his left knee hit the floor. After going to the locker room, Hibbert returned to the bench and he should be fine.
At the half, the Magic had a four point lead and stayed in the game up until the end of the third quarter. After a Ronnie Price jumper with six-seconds left in the third quarter the Pacers went on a 21-4 run.
Orlando Magic’s Andrew Nicholson scored a team high of 18 points in the first half. He did not play in the third quarter and played a few minutes in the fourth quarter. He finished the night with 18 points, one steal and four rebounds.
In his NBA debut, Victor Oladipo scored 12 points, had two assists and pulled down three rebounds.
The Magic are starting their season with back-to-back games. They will play the Minnesota Timberwolves Wednesday night at 8:00 p.m. ET.
