The Orlando Magic hold the fourth pick in this years NBA draft, and have nine players that are 25 years old or younger. If that doesn’t scream rebuilding, I don’t know what would. Hidden in the midst of Orlando and their bright future is 28 year old Arron Afflalo.
Afflalo is a tremendous teammate, hard worker and produces on the floor. This all makes him an asset for the Magic if and when they are ready to move him.
In an NBA where good two-guards aren’t very deep, Afflalo offers not just offense but is a very good defensive player with a high basketball IQ. He was also lead the Magic in scoring averaging 18.2 points per game while shooting 45.9%.
Afflalo can become a free-agent after next season, holding the option for the 2015-16 season.
The Magic finished the season with a 23-59 record and the second worst record in the league only beating out the Milwaukee Bucks.
