Magic’s forward Tobias Harris and point guard Jameer Nelson participated in the Habitat for Humanity Orlando home build on Thursday morning. Harris and Nelson were joined by Magic Community Ambassadors Nick Anderson and Bo Outlaw along with 20 Magic employees.
In the four years of the program, the Magic have sponsored five homes in the Stag Horn Villas section of Orlando.
In a statement, Habitat for Humanity Orlando Director of Development Lynn Ivanek said, “We are thankful for our ongoing partnership with the Orlando Magic. They understand the meaning of giving back and with their contribution of time, sweat and treasure they have made the dream of homeownership a reality for five deserving families.”
The Orlando Magic organization as a whole is very active in the community. In the 2012-13 season, Magic employees clocked in nearly 6,000 community service hours.
