The Orlando Magic forward Solomon Jones was waived after the Magic’s game against the Miami Heat Saturday night. The Magic also waived Hedo Turkoglu earlier in the week and are now down to 13 players.
Solomon, a Mt. Dora native appeared in 11 games, while averaging 1.3 ppg., 1.5 rpg., and 7.7 minpg. The Magic was Jones’ sixth team in his eight year career. The 28-year-old has appeared in 281 NBA games and 16 playoff games with the Hawks, Pacers, Hornets (now Pelicans), Clippers and Knicks.
Solomon was added to the roster as a free agent on Sept. 27, 2013.
