Ben McLemore spends time in Orlando

Kansas guard Ben McLemore worked out with the Orlando Magic this past Thursday.

The Magic will have the No. 2 pick in the 2013 NBA Draft. As a result, they have met with numerous draft picks including Trey Burke and Nerlens Noel.

Most recently, Magic’s GM Rob Hennigan took a closer look at McLemore. The young St. Louis native worked out for the Magic and had lunch with Rob Hennigan this past Thursday.

McLemore is very athletic, a good shooter and has a lot of potential. Bill Self, the head coach of the University of Kansas has described McLemore as the most talented player he’s ever coached. Self’s coaching resume includes Deron Williams (Illinois) and Mario Chalmers (Kansas).

McLemore is projected to be the top shooting guard in the draft and picked No. 2 overall.

If Orlando picks up McLemore at No. 2, Magic’s top earning shooting guard Arron Afflalo will most likely get traded. Afflalo who averaged 16.5 points per game is set to make 7,750,000 during the 2013-14 season.
