Tuck: Final NBA Mock Draft

Maryland’s Alex Len went 23-12 with 4 blocks in a 72-69 loss to Kentucky.  Noel had 4 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 blocks in the victory.  I believe the Cavs want to win this year.  Not only is Noel out until December, but he is less ready to help Cleveland right now.  They’ve tried trading the pick, and perhaps will continue right up until they are forced to make it, but I get the feeling they think Len is their center of the present as much as the future if they are forced to make the pick.

The Magic would perhaps look to trade, but if they don’t, Noel will be their choice.  They aren’t in the hurry the Cavs are and desperately need help on the defensive end.  I don’t think they should give up more than Afflalo in any Bledsoe deal for two reasons:

1. They don’t need him this season.  The Magic aren’t attempting to win yet.

2. They have leverage.  The Clippers need the deal more than the Magic do.

I’ve had Bennett to the Wizards, but they seem happy to take Porter and slide him in as a starting small forward from day one.  They are another team I think trying to win now.  The rest of the draft could unfold wildly, and could swing on one player being chosen early or passed up, or a team trading up or down.  Good luck figuring all that out.
