The Boston Celtics are struggling and they are hoping Rojon Rondo’s return will help them change that.
Rondo returned to the Celtics’ lineup Friday night against the Los Angeles Lakers for the first time since suffering a torn ACL on Jan. 25, 2013. In the 19 minutes he played he scored eight points, had four assists and two steals.
After the 107-104 loss to the Lakers at home, the Celtics traveled to Orlando to take on the Magic.
Rondo will be limited to about 20 minutes of playing time against Orlando Sunday night. This will be the first time Magic’s rookie Victor Oladipo will have a chance to go up against the four-time All-Star.
Oladipo is excited to play against Rondo. When asked what he admires about Rondo’s game Oladipo said, “Everything, his ability to score even when people get under him, his ability to get everyone involved but still be aggressive at the same time, the way he plays defense and leads his team.”
