Orlando Magic beat Brooklyn Nets by 21 Points

magicnets27.jpgThe Orlando Magic (2-2) beat the Brooklyn Nets (1-2) 107-86 Sunday night at the Amway Center.

They Magic’s defense has been consistent in the first three game and they did not disappoint Sunday night. They for held the Nets under 40 percent from the field and 23 percent from deep for most of the game.

Rookie Victor Oladipo started off slow but picked up his energy in the second half. He scored 14 points in the second half and finished the night with 19 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals.

Nik Vucevic racked up 19 points and 12 rebounds. While Andrew Nicholson recorded his third career double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Arron Afflalo hit a career high of eight assists and contributed 16 points and two steals.

The Nets struggled on both sides of the floor during Jason Kidd’s NBA coaching debut. Brook Lopez led the Nets with 21 points and Paul Pierce added 16 points.

Up next the Magic will host the L.A. Clippers on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. ET.
