Joakim Noah Defensive Player of the Year

According to multiple reports, Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah has been named the 2014 Defensive Player of the Year.

According to CSN Chicago, Noah will win this award for the first time in his career. He joins Michael Jordan as the only Chicago players to receive this honor.

It is expected that an official announcement will be made Monday afternoon.

This is not Noah’s first award. He was named to the All-Defensive Second Team in 2011 and he was a 2013 All-Defensive First Team selection  in 2013.
