Ray Allen Still Hearing About His Finals Moment

Heat_Ray_Allen_2013MIAMI (AP) — For Ray Allen, it was the summer of The Shot.

Whether he was in Connecticut or Florida or anywhere else this offseason, it was all that people asked the Miami Heat guard about. Allen’s 3-pointer with 5.2 seconds left in Game 6 of the NBA Finals saved the Heat season back in June, helped send the title series against San Antonio to an ultimate game, and will likely go down as the signature moment of Miami’s title run.

Training camp for the Heat starts in three weeks, and Allen is still getting questions about that play, when he took a pass from Chris Bosh.

Just the other day, he got the following text: “I still don’t know how you made that shot.”

The text was from Bosh.
