Insider: Rashard Lewis helps Heat top Magic

Rashard Lewis contributed 11 points to the Heat’s 108-94 victory over the Orlando Magic. The Heat extended their impressive winning streak to 27. They are six game shy of tying the all time NBA record of 33 consecutive wins.

The 14 year veteran spend four season with the Orlando Magic (2007-’08 to 2010-’11) before spending a couple of season with the Washington Wizards. This past summer, Lewis became a free agent and signed a deal for $2.6 million over two years with the Miami Heat.

This victory was not only the 27 consecutive win for the team but it also marked Erik Spoelstra 250th win as the Heat’s head coach.

Orlando was the first stop of the Heat’s four game road trip. Miami will have to face the Bulls, Hornets and Spurs before returning to sunny Miami where they will host the Knicks.
