Heat’s Pat Delany Named Coach Of SF Skyforce

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — The new head coach of the Sioux Falls Skyforce is a longtime staffer of the NBA’s Miami Heat.

Pat Delany spent the past 11 seasons in various roles within the Heat organization.

He served as a full-time advance scout the past six seasons and was an assistant coach for the team’s summer league entries in Orlando, Fla., and Las Vegas in July. He also served as the Heat’s video coordinator for four seasons following one season as a video intern.

Delany’s a graduate and former Division II basketball standout at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, N.H.

The Skyforce also hired Adam Simon as general manager of the NBA Development League franchise. He’s been with the Heat 19 seasons, the last three as director of player personnel.
