The Miami Heat have set their eyes on UCONN’s Shabazz Napier in the NBA Draft in hopes that LeBron James will return to the team, according to Chad Ford of ESPN.
LeBron’s agent announced Tuesday that he will opt out of his contract and become a free agent, although this doesn’t mean he’s leaving Miami.
But how does drafting Napier “lure” James? Because he tweeted this during the NCAA Championship game in April.
No way u take another PG in the lottery before Napier.

So, the Heat know that James is an advocate of Napier, so they’re thinking if they draft him, LeBron might come back. Will it work? Who knows.
We do know, however, that team President Pat Riley likes guys who can come in and contribute right away. Riley flew out to work out Napier, according to ESPN.
