Glen ‘Big Baby’ Davis scored a team high of 20 points against the Miami Heat Saturday night. The Magic led by as many as 16 points in the first half but the Heat took control of the game in second half. The Heat also made big plays late in fourth quarter, which led them to a 101-99 victory over the Magic.
Davis broke his left foot during the Magic’s game against the Knicks on Jan. 30. Davis underwent surgery to insert a screw to stabilize and repair his fifth metatarsal in February. He underwent surgery again to replace the same screw in early July.
Head coach Jacque Vaughn was pleased with Davis’ performance and hustle. Davis finished the night with 20 points, five rebounds and two steals in 26 minutes.
Lebron James and Davis collided during the game and Davis needed three stitches near his right eye after the game.
The Magic will host the Phoenix Suns Sunday night at 6 p.m. ET.
