It wasn’t too long ago the Indiana Pacers were strides ahead of the Miami Heat for the best record in the Eastern Conference.
Following a 105-94 loss to the Dallas Mavericks Sunday night, the Pacers are now on a four-game losing streak and now only have a 1.5 game lead over Miami.
Monta Ellis and Devin Harris lead the Mavericks with 20 points apiece.
Indiana trailed by as many as 17 points in the second half and rallied to pull within two before Dallas closed the game on a 13-5 run.
Paul George had 27 points and 11 rebounds to lead Indy.
The Pacers are now 5-4 since acquiring former Philadelphia 76ers swing man Evan Turner.
While it’s admirable Indiana wants to win and win now, one has to wonder if chemistry will hold them back this time.
