Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving will be out 3-4 weeks with a sprained shoulder, the team announced Monday.
Irving suffered the injury in a collision in the third quarter of the game against the Toronto Rapters Sunday night.
Irving is no stranger to injuries. Irving has already missed a chunk of the season with a knee injury and has played in just 49 games this season.
Irving has averaged 23 points and 5.7 assists a game and was voted an Eastern Conference All-Star.
In his one and only year at Duke in 2010, Irving sat out most of the season with an injury after injuring his toe in the ninth game of the season. He was still selected no. 1 overall by the Cavs in the 2011 NBA Draft.
