Cavaliers Offer Andrew Bynum 2-Year Contract

The Cleveland Cavaliers have offered free-agent center Andrew Bynum a two-year contract, worth an incentive-laden $12 million annually, sources close to the process told’s Marc Stein.

Bynum has not canceled scheduled recruiting visits this week with the Atlanta Hawks and Dallas Mavericks, despite the offer, which he received Monday.

According to the sources, the Cavs are mostly worried about Dallas in the Bynum chase and have thus tried to construct an offer that the Mavs can’t touch while likewise doing no harm to their long-planned bid to try to bring LeBron James back to Ohio in free agency in the summer of 2014.
