NBA Trade Deadline: Latest On Josh Smith
Atlanta Hawks forward Josh Smith is among the big names available at the NBA trade deadline. The Brooklyn Nets is among rumored destinations, joining Milwaukee, Boston and Phoenix.
The Brooklyn Nets offer remains what it has from the start, reports Sam Amick of USA Today.
"Brooklyn?s offer: MarShon Brooks, Kris Humphries and a first-rounder for Smith, a person familiar with the proposed deal told USA TODAY Sports. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because of fluid negotiations."
The Bucks are one of the most widely spread teams in the rumor mill and are looking to add talent as they make a push for the playoffs. Marc Stein of ESPN reported that the Bucks remain in the running for Smith, but have made guard Brandon Jennings off limits.
"Yet amid all of those talks, sources say, Jennings has moved alongside Larry Sanders and John Henson on the Bucks? list of near-untouchables. This is despite Jennings? widely presumed desire to leave Milwaukee in free agency this summer after failing to seal a contract extension in October like fellow point guards Jrue Holiday, Stephen Curry and Ty Lawson and then changing agents earlier this month."
Chris Broussard of ESPN reports Smith, who's contract expired at the end of the season and is looking for a maximum deal, would likely sign a long term deal in Milwaukee.
