NBA Finals: Interview with Warriors Assistant Ron Adams
In an interview done last postseason, I recapped Game 1 of the NBA Finals between the Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs with then Boston Celtics' assistant coach Ron Adams. Coach Adams was able to break down the keys to the series and offered his insight as to how the Spurs should defend King James.
As fate would have it, coach Adams spent only one season with the Boston Celtics before signing on with the Golden State Warriors. Teaming up with first year head coach Steve Kerr, coach Adams helped to guide the Warriors to a franchise record 67 wins in the regular season. In addition to their regular season success, Golden State will now be appearing in their first NBA Finals series since 1975.
Ron Adams has over twenty years of NBA coaching experience and will be making his first career appearance in the NBA Finals. Remarkably, coach Adams has now worked with a total of four MVPs during his outstanding career: David Robinson, Derrick Rose, Kevin Durant, and Steph Curry.
Meanwhile, LeBron James would go on to lose his NBA Finals rematch against San Antonio. After four years in South Beach, King James decided that he would return to his native city of Cleveland Ohio. In his first year back with his home team, James helped guide the Cavs to their first NBA Finals appearance since 2007.
Ironically, these two basketball veterans will now square off against one another for professional basketball's ultimate prize. You won't want to miss this EPIC interview with Warriors' assistant Ron Adams, one of the brightest minds in all of the NBA!
