Nationals’ Span’s Hitting Streak Comes To An End

Nationals_Denard_Span_2013Washington Nationals center fielder Denard Span went 0-for-4 in last night’s win over the Miami Marlins, ending his hitting streak at 29 games.

Span’s streak was the longest in the majors this season, topping Michael Cuddyer‘s 27-game streak from June-July. He fell one game short of tying Ryan Zimmerman for the franchise record, which was set in 2009.
