Wednesday: College Basketball To Watch Tonight

The game of the night will most obviously be Cal at No. 3 Arizona at 9:00 p.m.

The last time these teams met, Cal ended Arizona’s undefeated regular season on the same night that Brandon Ashley broke his foot. Because of this, the Wildcats have some vengeance that they want to play out.

The Golden Bears are playing for an NCAA tournament bid and they are in great shape to get there but a win over Arizona would give them some room to breathe.

Another game to keep an eye on tonight will be Baylor at No. 24 Texas also at 9:00 p.m.

Texas is coming off of a tough loss courtesy of Kansas over the weekend. But on the other hand, Baylor has won four straight games and they still have some wins they need to get to make sure that they don’t end up back on the wrong side. A road win at Texas would help to make that happen.

The game to watch for an upset alert will be No. 19 North Carolina at N.C. State at 8:00 p.m.

This is the last chance for the Wolfpack to get a solid win this season. N.C. State isn’t completely out of the picture yet and they could make a run in the ACC tournament.

There are a few other storylines to channel into as well:

1) West Virginia still has a chance to play in the NCAA tournament. First, they have to win a couple games and beating No. 15 Iowa State tonight would be a good start.

2) One of the most important games of the night will be Stanford vs. Arizona State because there are bubble implications on the line for Arizona State.

3) Pitt will visit BC tonight. The Eagles knocked Syracuse off the top just last week.

4) LSU (vs. Texas A&M), Ole Miss (vs. Alabama), and Tennessee (at Mississippi State) are all in action tonight. Losses would push the SEC just that much closer to being a two-bid conference.
