Warrnen Sapp won’t be easy on Schiano

Warren Sapp will not hold back on his thoughts about Bucs coach Greg Schiano.
Warren Sapp will not hold back on his thoughts about Bucs coach Greg Schiano.

Embattled Tampa Bay Bucs head coach Greg Schiano will get the bright lights of the Thursday NFL Network Game of the Week on him tonight and likely throughout the weekend. Mike Silver who is one of the most respected writers in the NFL wrote a scathing column about the Bucs coach and that was just the warm up act.

Expect former Bucs Hall of Fame star Warren Sapp now part of the NFL Network pre and post game programming to not hold back on his feelings on how things in Tampa Bay are headed. He said that if the Bucs follow the the coaches plan and things don’t work then it is on him. I think that Schiano is coaching for his job this team is not playing to their ability and that is on the coach and his staff. The Bucs are paying players and not allowing them to play their way.

Mike Mayock who will be doing color will also let you know what he thinks. He will be joined by his broadcast partner Brad Nessler the play by play voice of NFL Network Thursday night football. Both men know Schiano from his days at Rutgers and unlike some analysts who shy away from commenting on coaches or players do not look for Mayock to do that, he will speak his mind.

NFL Network coverage of the game will begin with the extended pregame show at 6 p.m. EDT NFL Total Access and also then the Pre – Kick Show at 8 p.m. the game will start at 8:30 p.m. locally it can be seen on WMOR TV Channel 32 will carry the NFL Network game feed for those who don’t get the network. After the game there will be plenty of postgame coverage on NFL Total Access .
